For more than three decades, David has served as a pastor and adjunct professor. He has taught a variety of subjects—from religion and philosophy to ethics and fitness—at four different colleges. This diverse background allows him to explore faith from many angles, helping readers see the bigger picture. His passion for teaching and connecting with people has created a space where curiosity and spiritual growth can thrive.
David's writing is built on a strong foundation, thanks to his theology degree from Dallas Theological Seminary. But he doesn't just write for scholars. He loves making deep ideas accessible to everyone, a passion that started during his school years.
What makes David’s writing stand out is how relatable and down-to-earth he is. He often shares personal stories and uses a writing style that blends serious research with captivating storytelling. His core belief is that faith shouldn't just be about theology; it should influence every part of our lives. He encourages readers to see the spiritual in their everyday world.
David’s mission is to help people grow in their faith. He plans to reach even more people through his books and speaking engagements, aiming to start conversations that go beyond traditional church divides. With every project, he hopes to inspire meaningful discussions about faith that are both relevant and full of hope for our complicated world.
His writings include a trilogy on the extent of the atonement (God's Wrath Postponed, The Cosmic Christ, and The Cosmic Pause) that explores Christ's work beyond a human application into the Cosmic realm.
More down to earth, David is an avid golfer and has written several books on golf with his most popular being, Master's of the Game: A Puzzled Filled History of Golf's Greatest Tournament.
David enjoys puzzles and has written several Word Search Puzzles on Insects, Music, and Holidays.
